Chipboard
Chipboard, also known as particle board, is made from wood chips, sawmill shavings, or sawdust, and a synthetic resin or other suitable binder, which is pressed and extruded. It's commonly used in furniture manufacturing, especially for low-cost products, and as a substrate for countertops and other applications. Chipboard is affordable but less durable and moisture-resistant than other wood panels.

Types of
Chipboard
Standard Chipboard
This versatile material is a staple in general construction and furniture making. Known for its affordability and adaptability, Standard Chipboard is great for basic applications like shelving and cabinetry. Available in various thicknesses, it meets a range of structural needs.
Melamine-faced Chipboard
Enhanced with a melamine layer, this chipboard is both decorative and durable. Ideal for kitchen and bathroom furniture, it resists moisture and stains. The melamine coating also offers a sleek finish in a variety of colors and patterns.
Veneered Chipboard
Offering the beauty of real wood at a lower cost, Veneered Chipboard is covered with a thin layer of real wood veneer. Perfect for aesthetic projects requiring a natural wood appearance, it's used in paneling, furniture, and decorative applications.
Flooring Grade Chipboard
Specifically designed for flooring, this high-density chipboard provides a stable and level base. It's an excellent substrate for various types of floor coverings and is commonly used in both domestic and commercial flooring solutions.
Each type of chipboard serves distinct purposes, from the economical and versatile Standard Chipboard to the decorative Melamine-faced and Veneered options, and the sturdy Flooring Grade Chipboard. Understanding these variations ensures the selection of the most suitable chipboard for your project needs, whether for basic construction or sophisticated design elements.
